Dear AES Families,

It is my privilege to welcome you to Atlanta Elementary School where we “Work Hard and Dream Big.” We are so proud of the opportunities we have for our students to succeed both inside the classroom as well as outside the classroom with the many programs we offer for academic enrichment.

We truly believe there is no other school quite like Atlanta Elementary. In order for us to maintain AES’s tradition of excellence, we must continuously strive to meet these goals we have set for ourselves:

1. To maintain a safe, kind, and positive learning environment that continually fosters the core values of respect and responsibility for both students and adults alike.
2. To help students build school, family, and community partnerships designed to engage, guide, energize, and motivate them to produced their own academic and behavioral successes.
3. To ensure that 100% of our students will learn and improve on state and federal standards at their individual levels.

Student success is ensured when families and school staff unite to ignite each student’s love of learning. For this reason, we encourage you to be an active participant in your student’s education. Please feel free to:

• Join your child for lunch
• Join our STARS volunteer program
• Meet with your child’s teachers to monitor your child’s progress
• Schedule a campus visit with the principal or counselor should you have a concern
• Participate in the assemblies and showcases designed to celebrate your student’s academic successes
